Design Sprint, One Small Change to Create a Culture of Innovation | Jake Knapp

How a Small Change Can Create a Culture of Innovation

This is a really great and actionable talk from Jake Knapp the creator of Design Sprint, while he was at Google Ventures, where he ran more than 150 Design Sprints with companies like Google, Slack, Lego, Uber, Flatiron Health, Nest, Medium and most of the Google Ventures invested startups.

In our opinion this is a tool every UX/UI Designer, Product Manager and Product Owner should adopt and facilitate Sprints to improve (and sometime skyrocket) their product leadership, team building, stakeholders alignment and laser focus product development.

Working together in a sprint, the product team can shortcut the endless-debate cycle and compress months of time into a few days. Instead of waiting to launch a minimal viable product to understand and validate if an idea is any good to your users or clients, you’ll get clear data from a realistic prototype.

The Sprint gives the product team a SUPERPOWER: Go fast-forward into the future to see the “finished product” and customer reactions, before making any expensive commitments.
